Google is expected to see its first decline in United States ad revenues this year as the coronavirus pandemic hits travel advertising, a market tracker said Monday.New research by eMarketer indicates Google will still be leading digital advertising but with a smaller share as the market evolves into a “triopoly” with Facebook and Amazon.Google’s net US digital ad revenues will drop 5.3 percent to US$39.58 billion to bring its market share down to 29.4 percent, according to the eMarketer forecast which was sharply revised due to the pandemic. Google’s decline is “primarily because of a sharp pullback in travel advertiser spending, which in the past has been heavily concentrated on Google’s search ad products,” said eMarketer analyst Nicole Perrin.”Travel has been the hardest-hit industry during the pandemic, with the most extreme spending declines of any industry. E-commerce-related ad spending has also been dampened to some extent: Amazon reportedly pulled its ads from Google search earlier this year as it struggled to meet customer demand for its e-commerce services.”A big part of the decline will come from “search advertising,” or paid messages deployed by Google when a user enters a search query.Search ad revenue, in which travel is a major component, is expected to drop by 7.2 percent in the US, eMarketer said. Facebook is expected to see growth in its US ad revenues of nearly five percent to $31.43 billion, driven by Instagram, according to the report. That would give Mark Zuckerberg’s firm a 23.4 percent market share.Amazon, meanwhile, is extending its strong growth in online advertising with an expected 23.5 percent rise to $12.75 billion, putting its market share at 9.5 percent, eMarketer said.Until recently, analysts had described the digital ad market as a duopoly dominated by Google and Facebook, but Amazon has been rising quickly.Google has been growing at a slower rate than the overall digital ad market since 2016, ” so this year will continue a trend of Google losing digital ad market share in the US,” Perrin said.Topics :

This camping becomes necessary as we want to select the best hands among the junior players so that they can also test might with their foreign counterparts at the world juniors. With the experience of Toriola and Michael Oyebode, who were both in Rio Olympic Games, I am confident that camping would have impart on the players and prepare them for the championship,” Oshodi said.He added: “The selected players will later go into close camping before the championship in November and they will continue to train in readiness for the competition.Toriola will surely depart to his base after the camping and we hope the coaches around can continue to sharpen the skills of the players before the tournament which has Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria and Tunisia representing Africa in Cape Town, South Africa.”The invited players are Abayomi Animasahun, Azeez Solanke, Amadi Umeh, Michael Abayomi, Augustine Emmanuel, Jamiu Ayanwale, Ololade Oyenekan, Tobi Falana, Etim Orok, Babafemi Babatunde and Umar Ibrahim for boys and the girls include Tosin Oribamise Agnes Onoja, Ajoke Ojomu, Alimot Ayinla, Rofiat Jimoh, Iyanuoluwa Falana, Vivian Akpan and Sukurat Aiyelabegan.NTTF will cater for the players’ feeding and accommodation while their states are expected to offset their transport fare.Share this:FacebookRedditTwitterPrintPinterestEmailWhatsAppSkypeLinkedInTumblrPocketTelegram
At first, Smith ran into friction problems on the small scale when trying to miniaturize the geared mechanism he used for larger models. After trial and error, he discovered that he could make an oval tube attached to the rotating shaft of a miniature geared motor. To make the train cars, he simply cut “teeth” into the edge of the tube that would poke just above the surface of the layout. Then he colored the train cars with a Sharpie. He made the layout itself completely out of extremely thin styrene, and covered the mountain with a thin lumpy layer of Squadron putty to make a forest. He made the buildings out of bits of 0.01 x 0.02-inch strips of styrene, and colored everything with Sharpies. At first, Smith thought about illuminating some of the buildings, but found that even the tiniest LED or fiber optics would be much too bulky. He still plans to make a single spotlight to hang overhead, to make it easier to see everything. Because the train is so small, even making the video was a major challenge to shoot. Although Smith used a macro lens, the camera would not focus close enough to get a good view; he had to blow it up 400% in post-production to make a decent-sized (yet grainy) image.Smith is making no promises that the tiny train layout is made precisely to scale. “This new layout was entirely eyeballed as well, with no real intent to precisely represent an N scale layout in Z scale; it’s only N scale by virtue of its overall dimensions,” he explained. “So if anyone measures the passenger cars running on it and finds they’re exactly the right size, I’ll most certainly faint dead away.”More information: http://jamesriverbranch.netvia: Telegraph© 2009 PhysOrg.com David Smith holds the tiny train he created, which has a scale of 1:35,200. China develops magnetic levitation train Smith, who is a business web developer from New Jersey, has been working on the train model since 2007, spending about $11 on the project. As Smith explains, the train is a model within a model, as it appears in the window of one of the stores in his Z scale model railroad town (1:220 scale), the fictitious James River Branch on the Reading Railroad. The tiny train is a Z scale model of a 2 x 4-foot N scale (1:160) layout. Explore further (PhysOrg.com) — David Smith, who has been building model railroads since 1965, has always had a preference for the smaller scale train models. His most recent project is a five-car train that runs through a scene of mountains, a tunnel, trees, buildings, and a cloud-studded sky – the whole thing measuring just 0.125 x 0.2 inches (0.3 x 0.5 cm). The train’s modeling scale is 1:35,200.
