Frankie the detector dog alongside the seized cigarettes.Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized 28,000 smuggled cigarettes yesterday – with the help of detector dog Frankie.The cigarettes have a retail value in excess of €15,000, representing a potential loss of over €9,000 in taxes that would be paid to the Government.The seizure was made when officers stopped and searched two passengers who had arrived on a flight from Frankfurt.
