Three people — one man and two women — have been charged with possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking in the city following an investigation by Regina police.Police made the arrests on Aug. 23 after carrying out search warrants at three addresses in the city, located on Fines Drive, the 6500 block of Rochdale Boulevard and the 2900 block of Victoria Avenue. The trio was jointly charged with possessing drugs — cocaine, fentanyl and meth — for the purpose of trafficking. According to the Regina Police Service, the quantities are significant, with 93 grams of fentanyl, 272 grams of meth and 30 grams of cocaine seized.All three have additionally been charged with possessing crime proceeds — the man and one woman with possession over $5,000 and the other woman of possession under $5,000. The man was further charged with possession of a stolen motorcycle.All three individuals appeared in Provincial Court on Monday. The two women have been released from custody, but the Crown opposed the release of the man. All three return to court on later dates.
