It is high time that we start to take health tourism seriously and strategically

first_imgPolyclinic Bagatin has been named the leading dermatological clinic in Europe according to the latest analysis of European dermatological clinics, which is done Global Clinic Rating – international accreditation body for medical institutions. The fact that a total of 2.368 dermatology clinics were included in the analysis, with an average quality score of 3.15, shows that this is a serious competition and a high ranking.Because medical and aesthetic services are highly individualized, the goal of the GCR is to bring the standardization and categorization of the institutions it certifies closer to all its users and potential patients, and the criteria for medical institutions are set based on patient satisfaction. GCR is the only internationally independent organization that serves patients as well as owners of polyclinics and clinics worldwide.Source :: Global Clinic Rating”The overall international clinical reputation of the Bagatin Polyclinic for 2018 was rated very high at 4.55, which placed us at the very top. This indicates an increasing health standard throughout Europe, but also in Croatia. ” they point out from the Bagatin Polyclinic and add that by combining technology and an individual approach, they create a complete and ideal program for clients, with which they achieve the best and long-lasting results.Global Clinic Rating (GCR) is an international accreditation body that evaluates medical institutions based on 4 criteria: staff expertise, technological equipment and quality of medical and non-medical units, range and quality of medical and non-medical procedures and services, and patient reviews and evaluations on independent websites ( like Google and Facebook). The success of the Bagatin Polyclinic is just another in a series of successes of our polyclinics, specialized hospitals, surgeries on the competitive market of Europe and proof that it is high time to start seriously and strategically dealing with health tourism. From year to year, the Bagatin Polyclinic receives recognitions and awards from the profession and patients, in various healthcare activities offered on the market, and is ranked among the best polyclinics in Europe, as evidenced by the aforementioned GCR recognition. In addition to the Bagatin Polyclinic in Croatia, we also have other excellent and recognized clinics that are excellent in their fields, such as St. Catherine’s Special Hospital, Svjetlost Special Hospital, Medico Polyclinic, Rident… and many other smaller practices that are leading in the region and among the best in Europe. So, we have an excellent foundation for health tourism from Rijeka, Zagreb, Osijek and other cities on the Adriatic that are slowly rising, we have the most important clinics that are among the best and leading in the region and Europe. However, the clinics themselves do not constitute health tourism, this must be taken care of by tourist destinations, ie tourist boards headed by the CNTB and the Ministry of Tourism, to complete the whole cycle and story about health tourism. The private sector has long since made its own, from various clinics, specialized hospitals and surgeries that are the main base and prerequisite for the development of health tourism, but again we fall for a system that obviously does not know or want to round it off as a tourism product. We have everything, from hotels, clinics, spas, suitable climates, connectivity, restaurants, tourist stories, but again the system is slowing down and not at the level it should be.How long do we have to wait for something to really move from a standstill? We live in the 21st century where change is getting faster and faster, where there is strong competition, where it is getting harder and harder to stand out and get attention, and we still prefer competition in the environment because we are sluggish, inert and content with the sun and by the sea.Health tourism is one of the focuses of the Master Plan for Tourism Development until 2020, but a lot is written on paper of various strategies and master plans – the paper suffers everything, and unfortunately there are still no concrete changes in the field. Entrepreneurs are shouting loudly and sending an appeal to tourist institutions to get involved and for health tourism to become part of the integrated Croatian tourist offer. It is obviously time for some concrete changes and actions, because we do not have another ten years to wait for some concrete changes to happen and to arrange a quality story about health tourism in Croatia.According to estimates, the total revenues that are generated globally in the field of medical tourism today exceed 60 billion dollars, and in just a few years that number will exceed 100 billion dollars. Although there are about 1.100 medical tourism service providers in Croatia, only five percent of tourists (patients) come from foreign markets, primarily from Italy, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are constantly talking about potentials, it is time to concretize those potentials. Right now and now, because when if not now – when Croatian tourism is a trend in the focus of global tourists and the media. We have everything and everything is up to us.</p>

The value of being seen to remain loyal is reflected in the attitude of the Iberdrola Group, the main sponsor of the Spanish women’s first division. You don’t pull out at times like these,” a spokesman for the Spanish electricity supply group told AFP. Even so, players in the sector estimate a 60 to 70 percent drop in investment and the prospect of several lean years. “There is of course a risk that some companies that wanted to invest will no longer do so, but will do so later,” said Bruno Bianzina, director of the Sport Market agency, a French company. FacebookTwitterWhatsAppEmail分享 French hotel group Accor, PSG’s main sponsor, left open the question of whether it would pay the full amount provided for in its contract (about 50 million euros, $54.7 million, a year), before saying two days later that it had honoured its commitments. “When you’re a sponsor, you want visibility,” Accor CEO Sebastien Bazin told French radio. “But at the same time, it’s in bad times that you recognise your friends and those who are there for you.” Sponsors can say overnight “we’re stopping everything because we’re in an emergency situation where we have to eliminate all the superfluous expenditure”, sports economist Jean-Pascal Gayant told AFP. “In the event of a crisis, the first budget item they cut is often the communications.” With stadiums dark, match shirts folded in closets and most players confined at home, football’s sponsors have lost all visibility and are growing restless.European clubs are struggling to offer their ‘partners’ a return on their investments as sport grapples with the coronavirus pandemic.Barcelona make 354.6m euros from sponsorship, according to Deloitte, more than any other club “We’re trying to do activities with our players for our sponsors, who are even more demanding since the lockdown. But it’s very complicated because of the health crisis,” one club marketing manager told AFP. The stars, the surest way for sponsors to attract an audience, are at home, many back in their native countries. Worse, there are no games for them to play. Matches on TV display the brands on the team jerseys or around the pitch to millions of viewers. At West Ham, one of the sponsors, high-risk finance company Basset & Gold, which the club stresses is not connected with owner David Gold, has just gone bankrupt, blaming the coronavirus crisis. Many sponsors are in sectors hit especially hard, such as airlines and hotel and restaurant chains. Some sponsors are beginning to cancel payments. – ‘Everything has to be suspended’ – Bordeaux’s main sponsor Bistro Regent has cancelled its April payment“It’s quite obvious that having no more events, everything has to be suspended, it seems so logical to me. It’s a case of force majeure,” Marc Vanhove, the boss of the Bistro Regent restaurant chain, which sponsors the Bordeaux shirt, told AFP.The Bordeaux-based chain suspended its contract, which runs until 2023, he said, “until we have the dates for the resumption”. With matches cancelled and some broadcasters, notably in France, beginning to withhold payments, club finances are already strained. “Sponsorship is particularly important for Europe’s biggest clubs,” said Deloitte, the accountancy and services firm, in the 2020 edition of its ‘Football Money League’ which ranks clubs by income. It said the primary source of revenue for its top five clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and PSG) is commercial and averages 49 percent of total revenue — although that number is inflated by PSG, which reports 57 percent of revenue from sponsorship. West Ham will have to remove the name of bankrupt sponsor Basset & Gold from their sleevesLower down the Deloitte table, the proportions change. For the clubs placed 16 to 20 (Roma, Lyon, West Ham, Everton and Napoli), 65 percent of revenue comes from broadcasting.last_img read more
